SC Jr. Golf Finale

This summer's Jr. Golf ended on extremely hot
afternoon with a grand finale that included pizza, awards,
and prizes for all. Matt won a new Nike golf
bag and a Ping hat.

The almost birdie putt!

Almost a first birdie! Matt had this putt to make for
his first birdie in the Jr Golf Tournament this
morning. The ball hit the back of the cup and popped
back out. Good news though...he finished here with a par,
a 31 for the day, and 5th place in the tournament.

Best score yet!

Matt scored his best yet...30 on 5 holes of play!
He plays again tomorrow to finish the 2-day tournament and end
of season for SC Jr. Golf.

1st Tooth!

While watching "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory( 1971)" tonight,
Matt lost his 1st tooth!

Matt's 1st Simply Music Piano Lesson

Matt had his first piano lesson today with Jim Patten
of Simply Music. He learned about the "ABC's" of the
keyboard, 5 steps of sound and playing chords.
(Davis had a lesson as well with Jim. This is his 3rd
year of piano but first lesson with the Simply Music program)

Organic Gardening

After reading the book, No Green Thumb Required: Organic
Family Gardening Made Easy, we decided to give it a try by
building a raised bed organic garden.
Matt and Davis had so much fun with the building, digging
tillering and planting.

Learning to sew

Maw Maw is teaching Matt how to use a sewing machine and he is doing great!
He was so interested for at least 1 hour of instruction and "helping" to hem.

I'm 6!

Matt turned 6 years old today! He was so excited about his birthday.

Mother's Day Out

We spent all Mother's Day out on the boat at Cane Creek Park with
Maw Maw and Paw Paw.
Davis and Matt cast for 6 hours straight
(well with a quick lunch at Subway, of course)and were never bored!

Sword fighting (blindfolded!)

They got this idea from watching the Penguins of Madagascar which is

a very funny new show on Nickelodeon. King Julien is our favorite character!
